Joey Versaw
Growing up queer during a time it was not accepted was a challenge, however Joey fought hard to always be himself. Starting with paper dolls at the age of four, Joey continuously challenged himself with new mediums.
Teaching himself the old school ways of wax sculpting and mold making to today where he sculpts digitally and was the worlds first 3D printed Fashion Doll Artist.
Focusing on Doll art and using many mediums and talents to achieve this goal including Sculpting, painting, sewing, design and patterning.
Artist Statement
My inspiration comes from a deep desire to inspire and make a difference. Art enables us to explore ourselves, to embrace the freedom of who we are. It connects us to our thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and our outer realities and experiences. I believe that life is an adventure and we all embrace self-discovery in many ways.
